The October 22 release is our largest since the summer, and the headline is the first full release of Demand Planning, which many districts have been testing with us on the development site.
Plan what you will buy, by month
Demand Planning lets a district pick products from a shared catalog and enter, for each month of the school year, how many deliveries it expects and how many packs per delivery. Plans roll up into a yearly total in the product's measure unit (pounds, cases, gallons and so on), and the aggregate view and its Excel export show every district's plan side by side, packs first.
Packs, measure units and conversions
Each catalog product has a recommended default pack. A plan line can copy it, override it, or reset back to it, and the totals explain which pack they used. Conversions between pack sizes are dated, so a change in a vendor's case size does not rewrite last year's numbers.
Coalitions
A coalition can name a lead district. The leader chooses the delivery frequencies members may pick from and the pack each product is planned in, and members see those choices (and who set them) in their own plans. Members can still edit their own plan.
Demand Planning is turned on per organization. If you would like it for your district, let us know.
